Shay Wood has more than fifteen years of experience serving as a pastor, speaker, writer, and church planter. He has also served in large and multisite churches as a campus pastor, teaching pastor, and pastor of campus development.

Shay is completing his PhD in leadership studies at Dallas Baptist University, focusing on resilience and spiritual disciplines as part of adaptive leadership. He has earned both a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies with languages and a Master of Arts in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty Theological Seminary.

Shay’s heartbeat is to awaken faith in others, build resilient Christ followers, and encourage other pastors to lead change without losing heart. He was called to ministry at 10 years of age. His priority is to preach the Word and lead people to Christ, being more confident than ever that people need hope and a Savior, and the local church has a special and unique role in God’s story of redemption.
